Yippee! Digitech Updates the Stomp Shop App for the iStomp
A while ago we wrote about Digitech’s iStomp, a pedal that can be loaded with any of dozens of very nice FX via Digitech’s Stomp Shop app. Alas, we discovered soon after that the app had been discontinued by Digitech pendng an update to make it compatible with newer versions of Apple’s iOS. As the months passed by with no update, we began to despair that Digitech had basically bricked the iStomp. That would be a shame, because it is really a very nice device, all the more so because it can be acquired cheaply and turned into almost any kind of effect that you like.
Oh ye of little faith! Digitech finally came through, and we are now running an updated Stomp Shop app on our iPhone 7. We have yet to buy the iPhone 4-to-lightning adapter that’s necessary to run the iStomp from an iPhone 5 or higher from Apple–the only one that Digitech says works with the iStomp–but we will. We might even update the OS in our iPad 2 now that we can keep running Stomp Shop on it.
Events like this give us hope that Digitech is getting its software act together. Now if they fix the Nexus app for the RP360, we’ll be utterly convinced. C’mon Digi-guys–we know you can do it.

Thanks for this
I am a multi keyboard artist and have been on a quest for a particular pedal used to “color†many a fender Rhodes electric piano recordings
That pedal was the electro harmonix small stone phaser
Recently I dug out my istomp, searched stomp shop and downloaded “stone phase†for free and it works like a charm!
That’s great! Haven’t had a chance to work with the phaser yet–phaser’s less useful for harmonica. But in general, I’ve found every model I’ve tried to be good-sounding and fully functional.
