Richard Hunter with the Dark Night Cabaret Band: “Boundless Love”
This video of a Jim Allyn song was recorded with Allyn and band on March 22, 2019 at the Dark Night Cabaret in Newtown, CT. The clip begins with a fiddle solo by Dan Tressler. The harmonica solo begins about two minutes later. I’m playing a Seydel Session Steel C harp in 2nd position through an Audix Fireball mic into a Digitech RP500 running one of my patches with a rotary speaker effect. From there the signal goes straight to the PA, as is my preference. This was the second time I heard or played this song–the first time being earlier that night at soundcheck–and I really liked it from the downbeat. Enjoy.
