One Ton Pig, July 27 2010: Good Hearted Woman
Here’s a live version of Merle Haggard’s Good Hearted Woman from the One Ton Pig show at the Silver Dollar in Jackson, Wyoming on July 27 2010. I’m playing harmonica, of course, through a Fireball V mic into a Digitech RP355 into the mixer. I think the RP355 sound is one of my detune effect patches–maybe the one that uses a Twin Reverb amp model. It sounds a lot like an accordian, which is very cool for this piece. I take two solos–one in the first section, played at moderate tempo, and one in the second section, where the tempo is a lot faster. Both are fun–my favorite is the second one.
Thanks to One Ton Pig for permission to post this music. This was a good night, and I’ll post other pieces from this set soon.
