Breathing deep and slow

I did a lullaby session a couple of weeks ago, and it was interesting to me to see how important deep breathing was to the feel of that music. I’ve since been playing a lot of long tones–just going for strong, deep tones that go as long as possible, in and out. It’s a good way to achieve a deep calm. It’s also a good way to make the sound of the harp come right from the center of your body.  I’m enjoying both the sound and the emotion of it.
