Cowboy Blues tomorrow night

I’m playing a private party tomorrow night with a cowboy blues singer named Michael Hurwitz. It’s the first time I’ve played with him. We had a pretty long conversation on the phone, talking about what we liked and what we play. It turned out that Ry Cooder’s version of “Billy The Kid”, which was the inspiration for my arrangement of the piece, is one of his favorite records. He also liked that I put a piece of Little Feat into the arrangement. He’s clearly up for jamming. I’m really looking forward to this gig. If Hurwitz is okay with me recording it, I will. Stay tuned.
